SharePDF crossed 200 users

Updated May 13, 2026

A small but happy update.

SharePDF has crossed 200 users.

Now, I know 200 users is not a huge number in the internet world. Every day we see people sharing big numbers. 10,000 users. 100,000 users. Millions of downloads. Big revenue screenshots.

But for a small product that started with a very simple problem, 200 users feels special.

The problem was simple:

  • Sharing PDFs is still messy.
  • You send a PDF as an email attachment, and then you do not know if the person opened it.
  • You upload it to a storage tool, and the link looks long and confusing.
  • You use some PDF hosting website, and suddenly your document is surrounded by ads.

That experience never felt right.

A PDF can be a proposal, a pitch deck, a portfolio, a report, a menu, a brochure, a resume, a client document, or something important for work.

So why should sharing it feel so unprofessional?

Why SharePDF exists

SharePDF was built to make PDF sharing simple.

  1. Upload a PDF.
  2. Get a clean link.
  3. Share it anywhere.
  4. See if people open it.

That is the main idea.

No messy storage links. No heavy email attachments. No viewer signup. No ads around the document.

Just a simple PDF link that works.

Over time, we added more useful things:

But even with all these features, the goal is still the same.

Make PDF sharing simple and useful.

Why 200 users matters

When you are building something, the first few users matter a lot.

They are not just numbers on a dashboard.

They are real people trying the product.

Someone uploaded their proposal.

Someone shared a portfolio.

Someone created a QR code.

Someone checked if their PDF was opened.

Someone trusted the product with a real document.

That is a good feeling.

It tells us that the problem is real.

It tells us that the product is useful.

It also tells us that we have to keep improving it.

What we are learning

The biggest learning is this:

  • People do not want a complicated PDF platform.
  • They just want a clean way to share a file.
  • They want the link to look good.
  • They want the viewer to open easily.
  • They want to know if someone looked at it.
  • And sometimes, they want extra control when the document is important.

That is it.

Simple products win when they solve one painful problem clearly.

What is next

We are still early.

There is a lot to improve in the product, the dashboard, the viewer, the onboarding, and the way people discover SharePDF.

But crossing 200 users gives us more confidence.

It is a small milestone, but it is an important one.

To everyone who signed up, uploaded a PDF, shared feedback, or told someone about SharePDF - thank you.

This is just the beginning.
