I'm Bikash – I work in marketing and like building things on the internet. I'm originally from Koraput, a small town in Odisha.

Background

I grew up watching and playing cricket – been following it since 2003. In 2015, I started a small business, and a year later I got my engineering certification.

That same year I got into marketing and found it really interesting. I like how it mixes psychology with data – trying to understand why people buy things, how products get traction, and what makes some ideas spread while others don't.

What I do now

Since 2022, I've been at Vempus, where I'm now building Vemgram – a B2B platform connecting Indian manufacturers with retailers and buyers.

I occasionally put things up on Product Hunt too – mostly small tools and experiments.

What I write about

Most of my writing is about marketing, consumer behavior, and business strategy. I try to break down things I've read or experienced into something useful.

I'm a big believer in doing things consistently over a long period of time. Not very glamorous, but it tends to work.

Beyond work

When I'm not working, I'm usually watching cricket, reading about consumer psychology, or going down a rabbit hole about some random business model.

What I believe

01

The things you don't do tend to bother you more than the things you do.

02

Money is a tool – useful for what it unlocks, not as a scorecard.

03

Life is a lot like browser tabs – messy, overwhelming, but somehow it works.

04

Most problems I've worried about never actually happened.
